Merri Bath-McDonald Professional Counselor Associate

My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your inner world, understand the roots of your challenges, and reconnect with your capacity for growth.

Treatment Approach

As a therapist, I offer an integrative, client-centered approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered theory, mindfulness, and somatic therapy techniques. I recognize that each person’s experience is unique, and I tailor our work together to meet your individual needs, strengths, and goals.

I believe that healing happens in the context of safety, trust, and connection. My role is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your inner world, uncover the roots of your challenges, and reconnect with your innate capacity for growth and change. Through our work, we’ll identify patterns that no longer serve you, cultivate new coping strategies, and foster resilience and self-awareness.

I am deeply committed to helping clients move through pain, rediscover their strengths, and move toward a more grounded, empowered sense of self. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you move forward on your healing journey.

Bio

Inspiration & Associates

I’ve always known that my true calling is to walk alongside others in their healing journeys. After earning my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Oregon, my path took several turns, but I consistently found my way back to the work I feel meant to do. I earned my M.Ed. in Counseling from Northern Arizona University in 2009, and for over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a high school counselor, supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate life’s transitions.

More recently, I felt a deep need to expand my work and serve adults seeking deeper healing. In 2024, I began offering school-based therapy while pursuing my LPC license, and this new chapter has been profoundly energizing and soul-fulfilling.

I am passionate about the therapeutic process and honored to create space for healing, growth, and reconnection. My own therapeutic journey has helped me heal, grow and find my path in life, and inform my approach as a therapist.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a mother, wife, and artist who finds inspiration and grounding in the natural world. Nature is a central source of wisdom and connection for me, and it deeply informs the way I show up in my work—with presence, curiosity, and compassion.
