Adults With ADHD Support Group
Recently diagnosed with ADHD and do not know where to start? Lived with it as long as you can remember but still find it negatively impacting your relationships and achievement?
Finding connection and community with others who are experiencing the same feelings can help offer support, encouragement, and strength when you need it the most.
What to expect:
- A small peer group with space created to share your experiences of ADHD and its impact on your life, whether recently diagnosed or having lived with it for years.
- A brief emotional awareness exercise will be shared to practice mindfulness of our felt emotions.
- A safe space encouraging compassion, openness, and connection with others sharing similar experiences.
This support group is led by Tyler Carney, MSW intern.
About Tyler: I have lived with ADHD since I was a child. As a graduate student in Portland State University’s Master of Social Work program, I enjoy exploring techniques and skills beneficial for addressing many areas of life challenges. My approach is grounded in compassion and empathy, emphasizing a warm relationship while focusing on strengths to guide each individual in finding peace in themselves. I worked at the Oregon State Hospital as a Mental Health Tech for over five years helping those with a variety of challenges to better improve their activities of daily living.
